We are always looking for a few more people to help with the show. If you think you might be interested please read the following facts about being on cast, and if you still want to be part of our sick little group there will be a link at the end.
If you apply to be on cast the first step is to be interviewed by the directors. If you are applying for a crew position you will also have to interview with the head of the crew you wish to join. Interviews are informal, but important in determining if you are appropriate for the role you wish to try out for
For cast roles an aplicant will have 2 opportunities to try out. This means that they will be given 2 nights to preform with the cast during a regular preformance. In order to do this, the applicant will have to practice with the director(s) and/or the other cast members they are to interact with on several occasions.
At the next cast meeting after the applicant has had their 2 trial preformances the full cast will vote as to if the applicant is to be accepted into cast. If the cast votes in their favor they become an understudy.
For all other positions (crew positions) if the head of the crew decides to accept you it is on a trial basis. This typically means you will serve as a normal member of the crew as you learn to preform your duties.
All new cast will start out as an understudy. Understudies have their schedules set by the primary for their role. In case of emergency understudies can be called in to fill a role. The point here is that you must be available to fill in for the primary, and you have little input in sheduling
Individuals who are not primary roles have no special privilidges on nights that they do not preform their role on cast. This means unless you are some part of the show on a given night you must pay and be searched just like everyone else.
On the nights you are to play, you may be expected to meet before or after the show, sometimes both. This can mean you will be busy as long as 9pm Saturday to 4am Sunday.
Also, there will be periodic practices and other events that you may be expected to attend.
